The scholarship program of the Palladio Foundation

The scholarship program of the Palladio Foundation aims to support and support the younger generations (students, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, French and foreigners), by giving them the means to carry out their projects of higher education or research in the fields directly related to the real estate industry and the construction of the City . This project must be designed under the sponsorship of a French and / or foreign higher education and research institution and can benefit from the support of a company in the sector.

The Palladio Foundation goes beyond the financial contribution and offers the winners to be accompanied by a professional sponsor representing the Scholarship Committee, one of its  founders and patrons  or a member  of the Foundation’s Circle 30partner.

For 2019, the directors of the Palladio Foundation have decided on a number of 10 scholarships with a maximum unit amount of € 10,000  (subject to the provisions of articles 5.1 in fine and 7.3 al.1 of the Rules of the call for applications 2019) .

WHO CAN APPLY?

The Palladio 2019 Scholarships support projects for further studies, doctoral research (preparation and / or defense of a thesis) or post-doctoral research. Applications are open to:

  • Anyone (students, employees, jobseekers …) French graduate of a master 2 university or a large school or equivalent, wishing to start or pursue a thesis on a real estate subject or related to the construction of the City;
  • Anyone (students, employees, jobseekers …) French graduate of a master 2 university or a major school or equivalent wishing to pursue his studies in France or abroad as part of a complementary training cycle related to the real estate industry or the construction of the City (Bac +5, Master 2, Specialized Master, MBA …)
  • Anyone (students, employees, job seekers, etc.) who has a thesis or is in the process of obtaining a thesis, wishing to start a post-doctoral research in France or abroad on a real estate or related subject the construction of the City;
  • Any person (students, employees, jobseekers, etc.) of foreign nationality holding a first year of a master’s degree or equivalent who, either in the context of international Erasmus or Erasmus Mundus-type exchanges, or under the sponsorship of a company of the real estate industry or a foreign university, has the project to follow a part of his higher studies in France in a cycle devoted to the real estate industry and the construction of the city of a university or university. a great French school.


The research projects presented by doctoral and post-doctoral students can come from all disciplines and in particular: Development, Architecture, Construction, Law, Economics, Finance-Management, Geography, Real Estate, Engineering, Political Sciences, Sociology, Urbanism. 

They will be attached to a doctoral school, a research center, an institution of higher education and research, French and / or foreign.

The work will be as far as possible on an international scale. They will refer preferably to the following orientations and themes retained by the Palladio Foundation, namely:

  • Longer life expectancy and new real estate and urban responses
  • The emergence of the “society of the urban” and the development of megacities (Greater Paris …)
  • The evolution of technologies and their impact on real estate and urban development (BIM, 3D printing, additive construction …)
  • The scarcity of resources and energy savings in buildings and the City
  • The evolution of behaviors and uses and their impacts on real estate and urban development (third places, coworking, participative housing, e-commerce …)
  • The revolution of land and real estate
  • Consideration of human elements in real estate and urban development (impoverishment, the issue of exclusion …)


Candidates must be at least 35 years old on 31 December 2019 when submitting their application.

Once the online form has been completed:

  • download, print and sign the rules  by clicking here
  • gather all the supporting documents requested
  • send it by post no later than 15 March 2019  (postmarked) to: 
    Fondation Palladio – Bourses 2019 – 5 bis rue Volney 75002 Paris.

Attention  : the Foundation will not accept any file deposited by hand.

These TWO compulsory steps must be carried out BEFORE March 15th, 2019 (stamp of the post and French time (UTC / GMT +01: 00) of validation of the form on line authentic).  Files posted before March 15, 2019 but received more than 15 days after the application deadline will not be accepted.

CALENDAR OF CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2019

  • November 6, 2018  : opening of the call for applications
  • March 15, 2019  : closing of the call for applications
  • Between March 15 and May 1, 2019  : Examination and pre-selection of applications
  • Between May 2 and June 7, 2019  : audition of the candidates selected in the first phase of selection
  • Between June 10 and 17, 2019  : selection of the laureates
  • June 18, 2019  : Nomination of the winners by the Executive Committee of the Palladio Foundation
  • Beginning of November 2019  : presentation of the laureates during the annual edition of the Palladio Rentrée Universitaire
