INHA Scholarships for Foreign Researchers in France, 2018

Starting 2019, INHA creates three three-month scholarships specifically for art history of art researchers from the following regions: Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India and South-East Asia. The purpose of the scholarship is to carry out research requiring the consultation of sources in Paris and to network with researchers. Priority will be given to confirmed art history researchers, whether they are affiliated with an institution or independent.

Selection procedures

Proposals will be reviewed by the Director and Scientific Advisers of the Department of Studies and Research of the INGA. The main selection criterion is the excellence of the project. Will also be taken into account the following elements: the expertise brought to the programs of the INHA, the possibility of collaborations with the researchers of the INHA, the valorization of the archives and primary resources of the library of the INHA, the scientific contribution to one of the eight research areas of the INHA.

This scholarship includes the financial support of the accommodation, travel expenses and the payment of a monthly scholarship of 1300 €. INHA will provide a workspace, a reserved space at the INHA library as well as access to digital and documentary resources offered by the INHA library.

  • a curriculum vitae with the list of publications already published (or confirmed by the publisher)
  • a research project
  • a cover letter

Deadline for application: June 15, 2018
The results will be announced during the first week of July.
